West Lafayette’s city council will discuss coalition’s request donation, valued at $100,000 for a new shelter.
For 10 years, Our Savior Lutheran Church has provided shelter for the homeless along with two meals a day. Coalition leaders are looking to provide a new shelter that will rely heavily on volunteers.
The church will continue to run their shelter, however if the coalition reaches their end goal of $1,500,000, the shelter will be able to help a larger number of individuals in the community.
